Minutes Like Days is the September 7, 2016 album by Canadian Progressive, melodic, metal, hard rock band Scalefighter consisting of guitar virtuoso, multi-instrumentalist, singer, songwriter, and producer Craig Passant, lead vocalist songwriter and producer, Robin Lei Tietz, and Scotty Gamble on drums. This nine track album features wailing vocals, heavy guitar riffs, and driving drum beats along with great harmonies and a mixture of the heavy and soft side in their songs with such tracks as the title track Minutes Like Days, Roads, The Glow, Talkin’, Uncomfortable and much more. I was quite impressed with how well this great album was written, performed, recorded and produced. This is a band I would definitely go see live if they performed in my area. I hope one day this album is released on vinyl. You can pick up your own copy of this album from Amazon, CD Baby, Itunes and other outlets where CD’s and digital downloads are sold.—

Melodic, Hard Rock, Prog Metal. Metal music is meant to move your soul, it is purposeful and direct in it’s relentless pursuit of domination. Scalefighter’s journey into the dark abyss is like a suit of armor man. You strap it on when the first song drops and it begins to take hold. Your head starts to rock with the rhythm of the track and that armor begins to feel like another layer of metal skin. You’re now in Scalefighter’s army!
Scalefighter leads you on a perilous journey of destruction and mayhem. Dragging you kicking and screaming through the rubble left behind in the wake of powerful melodies and soulful lyrics. Vocals performed by Robin Lei Tietz, are edgy and new yet they leave you with a sense of belonging like you’ve been there before. From ballads to blazing soul burners, the thoughtful lyric envelopes you and the heart- pounding melodies rip away any doubt about the songs direction. Straightforward and powerful! Every track swells with a sense of rich, deep Metal heritage. The depth of Craig Passant’s virtuosity on guitar is very tasty indeed. His riffage delivers and his approach is fresh. His solos are a testament to the genre and his melodic chops just crush it!
An intricate tapestry of leads, vocals, and mesmerizing rhythms. This band takes risks and has no fear! In a world of endless clones, Scalefighter stands alone. Especially in these days of stale, soulless cannon fodder that the music industry hurls at you. How refreshing to have new blood shed on the altar of rock and roll!
Produced, performed, and written by multi-instrumentalist Craig Passant and vocalist Robin Lei Tietz, along with Scotty Gamble supplying endless killer beats on drums, Co-Produced by Bob Gabelhouse, this project is like no other. The journey is filled with everything an aspiring fan could want. The story is told through layers of skillful song crafting, invoking metal from the gods of the 80’s while still carving it’s own path. Impeccable musical skills and insane guitar riffs just keep coming at you! There is a flow, like the river of time, that winds through these tracks…leading you back to the source. Bringing you full circle, and once again your armor lies waiting….for the next assault. Their future is bright and their fans are legion. Pick up the album “Minutes Like Days” and join them…you won’t regret it! New Scalefighter album & music video releasing later in 2018. Morgan Toutant-WAIL

Canada is a vast and cold territory, and thank God it’s been so cold up there that people get together in the warm atmosphere of studio’s and compose awesome music. One of them is this band that came out of nowhere, who know how to make us vibrate with impressive musical vibes. Thanks to Diminished Pitch Entertainment , thank you Scalefighter!

I’ve been listening to Scalefighter’s C.D. for a few weeks now, as I cruise around in my corvette convertible… I’m blown away by the exhilarating music, pounding drums, screaming guitars and vocals, that remind me of bands like Rush, Scorpions and Whitesnake, I hate comparisons but these are who come to mind. The ballad’s are beautiful, powerful and moving… I’m very impressed with the song writing and music arrangements…wow!! This band is going places and I need to know when and where because I will be there! Five out five stars, rock on!

These guys have a great 8o’s influenced rock sound that I’m a super fan of. “Minutes Like Days” sounds like an Alice Cooper/ AC-DC collaboration with a little hair band mixed in to kick it up a notch. They also have great ballads like “Again” and “Never” winding down. I’ll be sure to be playing their music on my show on Total Metal Radio regularly. Can’t wait to hear more from Scalefighter!

Lyrics
Minutes Like Days: 9:35
Minutes like days, days like minutes
Sometimes I just don’t get it
Can’t we learn to forgive it
Why take it to the limit
If it’s one thing it’s another
Back stabbing each other.
The grass is always greener
It’s been so long since I’ve seen her
I’m feeling guilty, cause I’m a dreamer
It’s a shame I’m a believer.
Thinking back to all those times I see
Perspective changes are growing in me
Feeling torn in two or maybe three
So So many years gone by
Too Too many tears in my eye
So So many lost true lies
Thinking back to all times I’ve seen
Perspective changes are growing in me
Still I wonder will I ever be free
So So many years gone by
Too Too many tears in my eye
Too many friends saying goodbye
Thinking back to all those times I see
Perspective changes are growing in me
Feeling torn in two or maybe three
Still I wonder will I ever be free
So many years gone by
Too many tears in my eye
So many lost true lies
Too Too many friends saying goodbye

Roads: 9:05
I remember when I wrote this song
Been down this road to long
I remember when I wrote this song
Been down this road to long
I never dreamed I’d be so strong
Even after I wrote this song
The nights are starting to fade so strong
Even after I wrote this song
Long shadows are almost gone
Even after I wrote this song
CHORUS:
Been down this road
Been down before
Been down this road
Been down before
Been down this road
Been down before
Been down this road
Been down before
It’s still a curiosity
Why I believe in me
I closed my eyes to see
Those hidden parts of me
It’s an atrocity
What you do to me
Why can’t you just let it be
Just open your eyes and see
I remember when I wrote this song
Been down this road to long
I remember when I wrote this song
Been down this road to long
I never dreamed I’d be so strong
Even after I wrote this song
(CHORUS)
It’s still a curiosity
Why I still believe in me

The Glow: 9:39
CHORUS:
Oh no, do we have to go
Will there be the great white glow
Oh no, do we have to go
To the great white glow
(CHORUS)
Do we have to go?
To the great white glow
Do we have to go?
To the great white glow
How many lives?
How many lives?
How many do we have to step-on
To reach our lofty goals?
How many do we have to step-on
To play the final role?
(repeat)
(CHORUS)
How many lives?
How many lives?
Then suddenly lightning strikes.
Are the planets aligned again?
Then suddenly lightning strikes.
This time we will not bend.
I won’t let time get in the way
Of what I need to say
I won’t be led astray
Black and white becomes grey.
(CHORUS)
Do we have to go?
To the great white glow
Do we have to go?
To the great white glow
How many do we have to step-on
To reach our lofty goals?
How many do we have to step-on
To play that final role?
How many do we have to step-on
To play that final role?

Never: 5:58
CHORUS:
Never thought I’d see you again
Never thought I’d see you again
Can’t you hear the memories?
*You tore the pages from my heart
From my heart
Don’t know where it’s going to end
They’ll soon forget us why pretend
Obsessions are endless my friend
I don’t care how much you spend
It’s more important the time we spend
How many of us are around?
When will it all come crashing down?
Our greed’s so deep we may just drowned
How many of us are around?
(CHORUS) X 2
I don’t know where it ends for me
They’ll soon forget, don’t lie to me
Possessions are endless, to be or not to be
I don’t know where its gonna end
They’ll soon forget us why pretend
You know such wounds will never mend
Obsessions are endless my friend
(CHORUS)

Reach Back: 11:02
Suddenly lately been thinking bout you
Can’t believe it’s a year or two
Faked my way through, we’re one of the few
Still haunting me, give me a clue
Always thinking what did I do, do to you
Stand back shout it out, talk to me
All we want is to be free
Collapse around us, who will find you
Who will find you
CHORUS:
Reach back, Reach back
Reach back, Reach back
Reach back, Reach back
Reach back, Reach back
On the streets of self control
I’m gonna have to play my role
Who put you on that throne, on that throne
I don’t wanna be a fake,
It’s not the goal I contemplate
I will not partake
It’s gonna be a mistake
A broken clock is right twice a day
Imperfections is why I pay
Pride and dignity have gone astray, gone astray
(CHORUS)
Suddenly lately been thinking bout you
Can’t believe it’s a year or two
Faked my way through, we’re one of the few
Still haunting me, give me a clue
Always thinking what did I do, do to you
Stand back shout it out, talk to me
All we want is to be free
Collapse around us, who will find you
Who will find you
(CHORUS)

Who made you so cold?
What makes you so special?
You ain’t so bold
What makes you so special?
Who made you so cold?
What makes you so special?
You ain’t so bold
What makes you so special?
Who made you so cold?
What makes you so special?
You ain’t so bold

Uncomfortable: 8:56
Suddenly, people say I’m out of my mind
Suddenly, people say I’ve always been blind
Suddenly, people say why are you so kind?
Suddenly, people say you’re out of your mind
Suddenly, people say I’m out of my mind
Suddenly, people say I’ve always been blind
Suddenly, people say why are you so kind?
Suddenly, people say you’re out of your mind
I, … I feel uncomfortable
I, ... I’m not destructible
I, ... I feel uncomfortable
I, ...I feel destructible
I, ... I feel uncomfortable
I, … I’m feeling strong again
My, … My shadow’s back again
I, … I won’t be wrong again
I, … I’ll let the games begin
My, … My dawn is, It’s closing in
It’s closing in.
Suddenly people say I’m out of my mind
Suddenly people say I’ve always been blind

Again: 5:51
Here I am just spent some heaven with you this morning
And here you were, but, left me lying there all alone
What did we do my friend to warrant these kind of feelings
There's so many roads to take, well I guess we're saying good-bye, good-bye
CHORUS:
Lost that feeling the one we had so long ago
We stopped believing then slowly started to drift apart. Again...
There you are acting as if you don't hurt
We could've gone far, just you and me and the promises made
What can we do my friend to stop these kind of feelings
But there's so many rules you break, well I guess we're sayin good-bye oh good-bye...
Why?
(CHORUS)
Every time I see your face it hurts me to the bone Honey, please don't you leave me standing all alone. Not again...
(CHORUS)
Lost that feeling, the one we had so long ago
And without any reason you left me standing there all alone. Again.

Womb to Tomb: 9:40
CHORUS:
Womb to Tomb
Doom and Gloom
Womb to Tomb
Doom and Gloom
(CHORUS)
Doom and Gloom
Misery, she set sail on my life today,
I know what’s coming
Gonna be goodbye I say, Goodbye I say
Sickness bleeds through me, I’m gonna pay
They’ll always be far from me
Out of the fray
Misery, set sail on my life today
(CHORUS) X 2
When the frets of life
Put me in the wrong key,
Pull my head from the darkness of the sand,
The darkness of the sand
Open my sandy eyes and start to see
Start to see,
From out of the cold,
The light will burn my hands
(CHORUS) X 3
Womb to Tomb
Womb to Tomb
It’s Doom and Gloom
It’s Womb to Tomb
Doom and Gloom
It’s Womb to Tomb
Doom and Gloom
Womb to Tomb
